View from my flat

It was a very cool view one day from my flat- I am sorry for this as I am sure there will be way too many photos from my flat over the next few months!

Photography lesson.

Myself and a friend had a photography lesson for technique and to make sure we use our camera to its full extent. It was fantastic- we had a 90 min lesson in a bookshop which used to be an incredible old theatre and then went for a walk. Learnt so much

Market in Matadores

A market full of parillas (huge bbq), llamas or alpacas (I'm not sure which one) and the whole town dancing in a form which is way too close to Morris dancing and Peruvian pan pipes

Tigre.

Went to Tigre today which is about 8k north of BA. Was so cold but beautiful. Its where all the Argentines go to get away. It was a strange mix of Florida Keys, Venice and Disneyland. I couldn't work it out but it was nice. The area is pretty much all small rivers with houses built along each side and some restaurants which you have to take the boat to and also some markets. They also have boats which sell groceries which go to each house in turn making sure everyone has anything. And I always thought what boats missed and that's onions. One boat only had onions and gas and I feel it was living the dream in the boat world! There is a huge rowing community in Argentina, particularly in Tigre, there was even a Berkshire boat club which made me feel at home. Along with the Berkshire Polo club I saw a few days ago. Cant get away from us!!!

Night out and San Telmo Market

Had a crazy weekend full of red wine, steak, tango, markets and lots of coffee! I have (a little too easily) fallen into the coffee lifestyle of walking about 10 yards and feeling like I have earned a coffee. I love that the cafes never rush you. You have to ask for the bill, they never just give it to you and rush you out. Even if you are just having a fanta or coffee and people are waiting to eat, it's ok. I went out on Friday to Palermo Hollywood which is like Camden or Shoreditch. Stunning, uber cool and very fun. Sunday was the markets and then the port.
