Went for an amazing walking tour which told me a lot. There was a lot of love, passion, hate, jealousy and revenge which built this city. For example a very rich lady built a stunning church for herself and her workers. Then on the other side of the park was her house where she could live and enjoy the BA life and in the mornings she would come to the balcony and see her church to pray to. She even built the Pope a house when he came to stay (with 27 bedrooms!) Then a young Irish woman came into the picture wanting to marry her son. Now the Catholic Argentine mother would not allow her son to marry a protest and Irish girl so all advances towards her son were rejected. To spite her the Irish girl became very rich and built the tallest building between the mothers church and her house. So not only could she not pray to the church but every day she could only see the building built in revenge. To make matters worse the passage way to get to the church was named after the Irish girl.
The walk was stunning however the weather wasn't. One picture below was taken at mid-day but it really felt and looked like midnight. There was also hail the size of big ice cubes. Something I didnt know was that Argentine car insurance doesnt cover hail damage so all the cars drove up onto the pavement to shelter under the shop awnings! Mad crazy country but I love it
